Grab a (race) seat. It’s story time.
Can you believe it? 10 years ago we first unlocked the gates here at The Rally Ranch. Technically 11 years ago we first toured it. But as these things go, it takes some time.
We’ve had so many insane days, events, close calls, and stories over that time, it also takes some time to tell the stories. So I’m not gonna rush it for once. Every Thursday through the rest of the year, I’ll be sharing some of these tales.
Like an old man around a campfire, I’ll try to share some wisdom, share some thoroughly embarrassing moments because my therapist says that will help me process them, but mostly, just good ol’ fashioned stories.
Stories about F1 drivers visiting The Rally Ranch (4 and counting?)
Tales of fighter jet flyovers.
Moments when the whole thing almost came screeching to a halt. Of which there are many.
Telling the story of how we’ve created a one-of-a-kind place that does things nobody else (probably for good reason) has ever tried.
A place where you can come at any skill level, and leave a bona-fide rally driver with a new gang of friends.
I’m attempting to keep it brief, for the first time in my life, and succinct. Allegedly.
And I’m not asking for your money, hitting you with coupon codes or affiliate links.
I’m also not asking for your grammar critiques, and I’ll remind you that I dropped out of high school so if the squiggly line doesn’t catch it, I might not. It’s gon’ be raw.
I’m just keen to share some of the hilarious, painful, and super fun stories that have made this place happen.
So next week I’ll start with some back story.. How Rally Ready came to be from a joke with some friends in 2006 to a brick and mortar store selling safety equipment in 2007, to our first class in 2012 in a field behind a Hyundai dealership.
It’s going to be an adventure. A wee book if you will, a new chapter each week.
I hope you’ll indulge me, and even better, hit reply and let me know if you want to hear the non-inbox appropriate version over a Rambler on the porch at the ranch sometime.
And thank you. For 10 years of the most magical place on earth.
Catch ya next week.
Your pal,
Tx Dave
