Diesel Grand Cherokee - $6500

Did you know - during the Daimler Chrysler era, some absolute hero somehow got the bean counters to allow them to put the Mercedes OM642 Sprinter turbo diesel into the Grand Cherokee? So you get the quadtra trac ii full time 4wd with low range on a deceptively capable and comfortable chassis with 400 lbs of torque and decent (it's still a 5 speed) fuel mileage!

When these became reasonably affordable back in 2013, I immediately bought one and daily drove it for years. I towed to Canada and back twice with it, Pikes Peak multiple times, traveled all over the states, and then drove it a bit around the ranch in the early 2015-2016 days. It then went to my dad for a couple years as a daily driver and has been back at the ranch just hanging out for a few years. I always say we're gonna get it going as another good ranch vehicle, but we have more than what we need so it's time to pass it on to a new home.

It's around 200k miles, had the transfer case and rear diff replaced after I treated it like a Mumbai freight train, and as it sits right now it just needs a glow plug controller module which I've replaced once before. It starts and runs great, we had an issue with it sitting in neutral with the transfer case once before, which is believed to be the control unit. They're not crazy hard to replace if it happens again, but it hasn't happened to us in quite some time so hopefully it was a result of weird things from a very low battery after sitting for some time.

I really don't want to sell this as it's one of the coolest vehicles ever, but apparently I'm not allowed to keep a whole museum of quirky cars when they can go to good homes. So FINE come get it for $6500
